Netflix Chooses Spot-On Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is poised to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.

The platform declared this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. This character possesses the power to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the source material and anime.

This performer will work alongside several other fresh additions tasked with bringing the group to reality, such as leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of Alabasta.

Although this character is a major member of the group, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could suggest more adjustments to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the character. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
