Star Denies Anti-Vaccine Views After Lending His Voice To Disputed Coronavirus Film

The acclaimed actor has lent his narration to a recent film that casts doubt on the legitimacy of immunizations and lauds one-time health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Disputed Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a well-known publication written by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for assertions that the virus was linked to a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

Her writing partner, a producer, has previously authored books with controversial figure a known commentator. He took to social media celebrating Neeson's role in the project.

A Strong Denial

A spokesperson for Neeson have issued a comment strongly denying suggestions that he holds anti-vax beliefs.

"We all acknowledge that misconduct may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be equated to rejection of vaccines," the response reads. "Neeson never has been, and is not, against vaccines. His long work with Unicef underscores his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

The response continued that the actor was not involved in crafting the documentary's messaging and that inquiries about its content should be directed to the creators.

Key Themes Featured in the Film

In the film, the narration provided by Neeson features several provocative claims:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It posits that "medical science has become dangerously politicized."
  • Kennedy is shown saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not adequately tested."
  • It takes aim at stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it mentions a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Background and Recent Disputes

It also references a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the subject of a correction by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.

Recently, RFK Jr instructed the CDC to alter its longstanding position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This claim is echoed in the documentary, contrary to a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation reiterating no such link has been found.

A Past Position of Advocacy

Contrasting the film's tone, Neeson has in the past shown clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary achievement," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" finishes with Neeson's script saying, "This is not the end of our story. Rather, it is the start of a different phase."
