The network's Leading Fresh Series of This Year Earns a Significant Extension for an Additional Two Seasons.
During the fall season, the late-night programming block debuted a new season of its quirky hit, Smiling Friends. But, not long after, the channel unveiled a completely new animated series with a distinctly unique vibe. Haha, You Clowns emerged as heartwarming and calm, evoking a animated take of a serene talk show. A Two-Season Greenlight
In mid-December, the network revealed exciting news: Haha, You Clowns has been renewed for a further two seasons. This provides showrunner Joe Cappa significant creative freedom to develop the story of the Campbell family. The series centers on three respectful teenage brothers whose primary trait is their strong bond for their single father, with Cappa providing the voices for all four key characters.
"I am incredibly thankful to the viewers of the show who gave *Haha, You Clowns* a chance and spread the word," said Cappa. "It's thrilling that I get to spend more time in the Campbell household for the foreseeable future."
A President's Endorsement
Accompanying the news commendation from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who called the series as "radically heartfelt and oddly captivating." He shouted out the fans who found the show and championed its distinctly quirky sensibility.
"All of you got behind this new show, rooted for it on social media, and helped it grow week over week so we could greenlight not one, but two more seasons," commented Ouweleen. "In the words: 'You are strong! You are loved!'"

At the time, creator Joe Cappa expressed his goal to help comedy break out of its long-running sarcastic tone. He traced this trend to a broader media landscape.
“There's this level of irony that we can't get ourselves out of,” said Cappa. “It's like we have to know we’re the cleverest viewer in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for too long, and we just have to laugh at something different now. Comedy has to evolve.”

With this renewal, with Haha, You Clowns set to continue, Cappa may well catalyze that very evolution. If nothing else, the renewal ensures audiences additional episodes to enjoy the warm glow of the beloved Campbell clan.
